Seems like the Adult Stem Cell scorecard just keeps piling on the points. A recent article in a UK newspaper details how a treatment for MS using a patient’s own marrow to harvest stem cells are having positive results.
Multiple Sclerosis is a degenerative nerve disorder. It seems that the stem cell therapy is increasing the transmission of electrical stimulus in damaged spinal cords. While no significant improvements have been recorded, many subjects found their symptoms stabilized. And with treatment using their own stem cells, there is no chance of rejection.
This project demonstrates – again – that moral science is good science. That we don’t have to claim to save lives at the cost of the lives of the unborn.
